AI integration
FullClarity includes built-in support for AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask questions about your projects, estimates, contracts, and costs using natural language — and get answers drawn directly from your NetSuite data.
This connection uses the NetSuite AI Connector Service, which is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your AI assistant connects securely to NetSuite using your own credentials and role, so it can only see and do what your role permits.
Getting connected
Follow these pages in order to set up your AI integration:
- Setting up an MCP role — create a dedicated NetSuite role for AI access with the right permissions
- Connecting to an AI assistant — connect Claude or another AI assistant to your NetSuite account
For an inventory of what each tool does, see Available MCP tools.
Available tools
Once connected, your AI assistant can use FullClarity tools to answer questions about your data. The tools available depend on which FullClarity modules you have installed.
Project Financials
- Look up project details — billing type, cost centre, margin, linked estimates and contracts
- List and search projects by customer, status, or billing type
- Retrieve full estimate worksheets with line-item detail
- View contract details and schedules of values
- Check claim status, progress percentages, and retention amounts
- Get cost centre category hierarchies
- Ask conceptual questions about construction billing, estimating, and forecasting
More modules will be added as FullClarity tools are expanded.
Security and permissions
- AI assistants cannot connect using the Administrator role — you must create a dedicated MCP role
- The AI assistant can only access data that the connected role has permission to view
- All AI connector activity is logged in NetSuite under the integration record
- You can disconnect your AI assistant at any time from your AI client's settings or from NetSuite's integration management
