Portal

Portal is the foundational FullClarity SuiteApp that connects your NetSuite account to FullClarity's cloud infrastructure. Several other FullClarity SuiteApps depend on it — install Portal first, then install whichever apps you actually want to use.

What Portal is

Portal is a piece of infrastructure rather than a feature most users will interact with directly. Its job is to:

  • Bridge NetSuite to FullClarity's cloud storage. Files attached through File Storage live in AWS S3 across eight global regions, and Portal handles the upload credentials, signed download links, and the content-delivery-network routing.
  • Provide external-user access points. When subcontractors, vendors, or customers sign in to FullClarity Connect or use the legacy vendor portal at my.fullclarity.com, those external sessions authenticate through Portal.
  • Hold per-subsidiary configuration. A Portal Configuration record per subsidiary determines which storage region your files go to and which API endpoint your account talks to.

Who installs and uses Portal

Portal is an administrator install. Once it's installed and the account is registered, users don't interact with Portal screens directly — they interact with whichever feature SuiteApp uses Portal's infrastructure (typically File Storage, Certified Documents, or Project Financials' Quote Portal).

There are two routine admin tasks against Portal:

  • Register the NetSuite account with FullClarity's cloud infrastructure (a one-off, per account, repeated after every sandbox refresh).
  • Refresh API credentials if your security team rotates them or if a sandbox refresh wipes the existing pair.

Both tasks are documented under How to below.

What depends on Portal

Several FullClarity SuiteApps require Portal to be installed and registered before they can function:

  • File Storage — uses Portal's S3 and content-delivery infrastructure for every upload and download
  • Certified Documents — uses Portal's signed URLs to give external vendors a way to submit documents
  • Project Financials — uses Portal for the Quote Portal (sending RFQs to external bidders) and for Connect-related sync flows
  • FullClarity Connect — uses Portal for OAuth registration and webhook authentication

Storage regions

When you register your account, you choose one of eight S3 regions for your account's documents:

#RegionAWS region
1Australiaap-southeast-2
2USAus-east-1
3Indiaap-south-1
4UKeu-west-2
5Singaporeap-southeast-1
6Canadaca-central-1
7Swedeneu-north-1
8Irelandeu-west-1

Default: USA. Choose the region closest to most of your users for fastest uploads and downloads.

Next steps

  • Install & configure — module requirements, install, registration, configuration record
  • Register a NetSuite account — the registration flow at my.fullclarity.com/register
  • Refresh API credentials — replace the API credentials with a fresh pair
